What do I need from the Brewshop?
You might need some of the tools listed on the ingredients page that are specialized to the brewing industry, like the carboy, bottles, and caps. In addition there are 3 items for the actual beer making:
- Malt Extract
- Malt extract is a product that is created from boiling the sugars from grains, and drying the water out.
- Hops
- Hops add the bitter flavor to counter balance the sugar
- Fermentation lock
- Fermentation lock is not an ingrediant, but it is the most important part of the brewing process. It seals the carboy off from the air outside that can contaminate your brew.
